Bells and Ringers at St Peter and St Paul Headcorn

Headcorn Band
The Headcorn Band ring the bells at St Peter and St Paul for services, weddings and other special events. Practice night is every Thursday between 7.30 and 9pm and Sunday service ringing is between 9.15 and 10am.

1714Present 4th, 5th and 6th cast.
1720Present 7th cast.
1732Tenor and present 3rd cast by Samuel Knight.
17662 trebles added by Lester & Pack to make 8 in a new timber frame.
1891Bells 3, 5 and 6 recast by John Warner.
1922Treble and 4th recast and 7th & tenor rehung by Alfred Bowell. The 2nd was later recast also. It would appear that the 3rd was weighed too at this time.
19472 trebles recast by Mears & Stainbank.
19733rd rehung using local labour.
1981Bells retuned and rehung by Whitechapel.
1989Tenor recast by Whitechapel.
1992Whitechapel fitted new bearing plates to the tenor.
